ISP- Physical Education

Position Title: Instructional Support Personnel (Physical Education Classroom ISP) Reports to: Principal FLSA: Non-exempt Summary of the position: Guide and assist each student in the fulfillment of his or her potential for intellectual, emotional, social, and psychological growth and maturation. Must be willing and able to manage a classroom of elementary students to ensure the safety and well-being of all students while implementing the district curriculum and goals for the program. Qualifications: Demonstrated aptitude and/or abilities for performing the tasks required. Such other qualifications of academic, professional, and personal excellence as may be specified. Must have 2 years of college or pass the paraprofessional examination during your first year of employment. Supervises: None Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Make preparations for classroom activities. Work with a large group of students to ensure they are safe and active while participating in Physical Education activities. Maintain the same ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of the licensed staff. Participate in in-service training programs as assigned. Assist the building principal in duties relative to the supervision of the playground, study hall, cafeteria, bus loading, and other activity-oriented programs. Assume any responsibilities as may be assigned. Promote good public relations for the School Corporation and community.
