Field Service Technician / Heavy Equipment MechanicResponsible for the maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of construction equipment machinery and components, primarily in a field setting.ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced field diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of heavy construction equipment such as excavation equipment, rough terrain, telescopic, truck cranes, earthmoving equipment, dozers, skid steers, rough terrain material handling lifts, graders, trailers, and dump trucks.Communicate clearly with customers regarding completed repairs, additional findings, and equipment condition.Safely operate a company vehicle to perform service calls in the Hampton Roads, VA area.Essential SkillsMechanical and troubleshooting skills.Experience in heavy equipment maintenance, particularly on construction heavy equipment like excavators, dozers, cranes, and lifts.Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical systems in the field.Knowledge of hydraulic lines and systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 5+ years of heavy construction equipment diagnostic and repair experience.Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in a field or construction setting.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.Valid driver's license and a good driving record (CDL Class A is a plus but not required).Why Work Here?Enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with multiple plan options.
