Scale Operator

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Scale Operator who can easily multi-task to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately weighing and recording shipments ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Prior warehouse experience, especially in e-commerce or distribution environments, is desirable but not necessary. The Scale Operator plays a vital role in order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and maintaining smooth logistics flow. Duties Use warehouse management systems (SMSTurbo Fulcrum) to track inventory, and process orders Weigh and measure products accurately using the truck scale Communicate with drivers and loader operator via CB radio Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipment details and preparing documentation Utilize basic math skills to calculate weights and quantities for proper order processing Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency Answer phones and transfer calls Schedule deliveries Greet clients and answer questions regarding products Collaborate with team members Qualifications Proficiency with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing, and inventory management Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals who are challenged by a busy work environment with lots going on during varied times of the week.
