Job DetailsDescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Performs a variety of duties related to procurement, preparation, distribution and clean-up of food for patients and staff, while maintaining a sanitary and orderly work area. Responsible for planning patient menus in coordination with the dietician. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ResponsibilitiesPrepare food for patients, and others as needed, according to identified dietary requirements.Deliver food to patients in a timely fashion.Meet with consulting dietician to coordinate meal planning and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Maintain cleanliness of food prep and storage areas.Create and place orders for food and supplies as needed.Restock refrigerators and dry food storage areas in remote locations, if applicable.Maintain adherence to regulatory agency standards as well as departmental policies and procedures.Maintain all required food service logs.Assist with medical/surgical/housekeeping supply ordering, receiving and distribution functions, as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Measures Of PerformanceDemonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks efficiently.Adherence to time and attendance policies.Demonstrated ability to interact with co-workers as part of a mutually respectful and collaborative team.Demonstrated ability to maintain a pleasant and respectful demeanor when interacting with patients and families.
