Security Guard PositionThe City Forum and Project 2231 are looking for a responsible, unarmed Security Guard to surveil our premises and protect our staff and visitors. You will detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority and possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company maintain excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.
ResponsibilitiesPatrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles or people in the property
Remove offenders or trespassers from the area
Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
Provide assistance to people in need
Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before the arrival of authorities
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Required SkillsCustomer service skills and dealings with families
Proven experience as a security officer or guard
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Familiarity with report writing
Excellent surveillance and observation skills
Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
A High School diploma is required
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Dallas Law Security Guard Certification
Required LicensesValid unarmed security license or armed security license/Guard Card (Required)
TN Dallas Law Certification (Required)
Driver's License (Required)
Job Type: Part-Time
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidaysapproximately 20 to 25 hours/week.(except Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
Pay Rate: $15 to $18 an hour (based on experience)
