The RoleWe're looking for a Salesforce Developer to join our Technology team — someone who writes code and builds CRM solutions that holds up at scale, keeps the platform clean and well-governed, and helps the business move faster. In this role, you'll be a primary owner of development quality and platform health, working closely with the Solutions Architect, Administrator, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into reliable, well-engineered solutions. Our stack extends well beyond Salesforce and team members with the technical range to work across it will find opportunity to do so.Core ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Actually DoDesign, build, deploy, and maintain production Apex and Flows with an emphasis on maintainability and scalability.Increasingly own our Gearset Salesforce deployment pipeline — managing environment promotion, handling merge conflicts, and maintaining Git hygiene across the Salesforce team's development workflow.Write and maintain Apex test classes with meaningful coverage; with growth, take ownership of our broader Salesforce testing strategy.Perform thorough QA testing on new features before they reach production.Collaborate with the Solutions Architect and Administrator in an agile, sprint-based environment.Evolving ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain Salesforce platform monitoring infrastructure — including structured event logging, error tracking, and performance visibility.Play a foundational role in our adoption of Agentforce and AI-driven capabilities, including headless integrations that extend agentic access to Salesforce data and logic beyond the UI.Build and maintain Salesforce-native integrations — including real-time API callouts and external service connections that operate directly within the platform.Own and evolve our Salesforce technical documentation practice — we're building toward a chat-based developer experience where well-structured docs and direct metadata access function as a single knowledge layer. What We're Looking ForMust-HavesOwnership — you take responsibility for what you build. If something breaks, you don't wait for someone else to fix it.Bias toward action — you move deliberately but don't wait for perfect information. You can scope a problem methodically, make a call, and ship something — then iterate.Apex development ability — you can write production-quality Apex and understand the patterns that make it scale: trigger handlers, batch jobs, queueables, invocable methods. Depth across all isn't required on day one — but the instinct and foundation are.Security fundamentals — you understand Salesforce's core security model (profiles, permission sets, FLS, sharing) and know how to implement it correctly.DevOps discipline — you can move changes through a deployment pipeline in an organized, traceable way.Cross-functional communication — you work effectively with non-technical stakeholders and can translate business needs into technical solutions.SQL fluency — comfortable writing analytical queries (SELECT, JOINs, CTEs); we use BigQuery extensively for reporting and data engineering work that intersects with Salesforce.B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated ability. We care about how you think, not where you went.Strongly PreferredExperience designing and deploying Flows that are clean, logical, and don't create downstream chaos.Salesforce administration depth — user permissions, security model, configuration.Lightning Web Component (LWC) experience — we are actively expanding our custom UI footprint and this will become a part of the role.Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Marketing Cloud, or Data Cloud.Agile methodology experience — scrum, sprints, the whole deal.Nice-to-HavesExperience with Gearset or comparable Salesforce DevOps tooling.Experience with adjacent languages: Java, Python, JavaScript.Familiarity with our core platforms: Brightpearl (ERP), Magento (eCommerce), or Google Cloud / BigQuery.Experience working in a distribution, wholesale, or eCommerce environment.Any background that demonstrates you care about data correctness and system reliability.A Note on AI ToolsWe use AI tooling extensively — Claude, ChatGPT, and others are part of our daily workflow and we expect you to use them too. We are deliberately open to candidates earlier in their career who demonstrate strong fundamentals and the judgment to direct, evaluate, and own AI-assisted work. What we won't compromise on is understanding: you need to be able to read the code, explain the decisions, thoroughly test and debug, and stand behind what ships.Compensation and Benefits include:Salary: $75,000 - $105,000/year dependent on experience100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.Unlimited paid time off plus generous company holidays.Employee bonus program tied to company performance.Comprehensive training, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.About Keep SupplyKeep Supply is a respected and resourceful distributor of heavy commercial and industrial refrigeration parts, equipment, and other MRO supplies.
