Clayton Services is searching for a Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift to join a thriving manufacturing company in North Houston. The Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift will be responsible for assembling and installing metal components and fabricated assemblies used in industrial equipment applications.Job Type: Temp-to-HirePay Rate: $25.00/hourBenefits: Excellent benefits available after the successful completion of the temporary period, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and moreSchedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM w/ 30-min lunch and weekend availabilityMechanical Assembler - 1st Shift Responsibilities:Build and install metal panels, doors, siding, and structural components for industrial equipmentAssemble custom-fabricated parts according to specifications and production requirementsRead, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawingsSecure seams, joints, and connections using appropriate fastening methods such as bolts, welds, sealants, or solderMeasure, align, and adjust components to ensure proper fit and structural integrityOperate hand tools and power tools to cut, grind, smooth, polish, and finish metal surfacesInspect completed assemblies for quality, safety, and accuracy before final installationMaintain a safe and organized work area while following established safety proceduresAccurately record time worked and labor classifications using the company's timekeeping systemPerform additional duties as assigned to support production needsMechanical Assembler - 1st Shift Skills and Abilities:Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude with attention to detailComfortable working with hand and power toolsAbility to work independently while also collaborating with a teamCapable of managing workload in a fast-paced production environmentSafety-conscious mindset with consistent adherence to guidelinesMechanical Assembler - 1st Shift Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing requiredMechanical Assembler - 1st Shift - Immediate need.
