Vice President, Consumer Private Equity (Chicago)

A Chicago-based private investment platform is seeking a Vice President of Investments to join its Consumer team. The role focuses on sourcing, executing, and managing equity investments across consumer-facing sectors, including branded consumer products, retail, e-commerce, and food & beverage.The VP will take a lead role across the full investment lifecycle and work closely with senior team members on both new transactions and portfolio value creation.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and evaluate new consumer investment opportunitiesLead financial modeling, valuation, and investment committee materialsDrive execution across due diligence, structuring, and negotiationsPartner with portfolio companies on growth and operational initiativesMonitor portfolio performance and support exit strategy developmentBuild and maintain relationships with founders, advisors, and intermediariesCandidate Profile5-8+ years in private equity, growth equity, investment banking, or investing rolesStrong financial modeling and transaction execution experiencePrior exposure to consumer/retail/consumer brands preferredComfortable operating in a lean, hands-on investing environmentStrong communication skills and ability to engage with management teams
