Essential Functions:
Facilitates financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation for satellite office
Provides additional administrative support to home-office on surge-need basis
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets
Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return
Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit
Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies
Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Maintain accurate and complete records
Participate in special projects or initiatives, as required
Required Job Specifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, required
Eight years or more of related experience, required.
Certified Public Accountant designation, preferred.
Optional/Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting team with commercial and government contracts
Familiarity with IT services contracts and/or products
GSA Schedule administration
Superior communication skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Work Conditions
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position will often move about inside the office to escort visitors, deliver packages to addressee, etc. Occasionally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients.
