Warner Mechanical - Mechanical Estimator

Warner Mechanical, a Division of R.W. Warner, Inc., is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical construction projects. This role involves reviewing plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, soliciting vendor and subcontractor pricing, and supporting project teams through the bidding and preconstruction process.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesReview drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate mechanical estimatesPerform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related systemsPrepare complete cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted workSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bidsAnalyze historical data to improve estimate accuracyIdentify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunitiesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales teams during bid preparationAssist with bid presentations and post-bid reviewsMaintain organized estimating files and databasesRequired Qualifications3+ years' experience in mechanical estimating or related construction roleStrong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systemsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProficiency with estimating software (QSOFT, Bluebeam, Excel)Strong attention to detail and analytical skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilitiesPreferred QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldExperience with speculative budgeting, design-build, and negotiated projectsFamiliarity with local codes and industry standardsField experience in mechanical constructionBenefits & Other OfferingsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceWhole Life Insurance with Long-Term CarePTO and Paid Holidays (We follow the federal holiday schedule)Career growth and professional development opportunitiesCollaborative and supportive work environment*Salary will be based on qualifications and years of experience*R.W.
