If you like to make things happen and are passionate about what you do, you're going to want to be here.Join us and become part of the power behind possible.About The Opportunity Essential Functions:Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and proceduresMaintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipmentComplete required quality inspections per customer specifications and paperwork quality is the responsibility of all employeesWork with peers to improve quality and performanceProvide an active role in the housekeeping of the assigned areaUnderstand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirementsFeed printed, labeled or plain corrugated sheets into the machineAssist operator with machine set upPerform minor repairs to cutting boardsEnsure the necessary tooling and/or supplies, including ink, is at machine center for set upComplete color checks using Color SentryInput production numbers into BVP Scan WIP tags and/or load tagsPerform quality process control data input & logMake units the required dimensions and adequately protect productsIdentify each unit with proper count and order number, and put load tag on each unitPerform routine maintenance duties, which includes the rotation of anvilsRepair or assist maintenance in the repair of machine as necessaryPerform other duties as assigned by management/supervisorsAdditional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Safety sensitive position ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe mannerAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the businessAbility to work on a rotating shift as neededAbility to effectively work in teams meets deadlines and responsibilities to help team meet goals, listens to others and values opinions, promotes a team atmosphereAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and peopleAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of rolesQuality of Work is attentive to detail & accuracy, looks for improvements to work processes and takes advantage of tools & resources, finds root cause to quality problemsIntegrity/Ethics deals with others in a straightforward and honest manner, is accountable for actions, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates support of company valuesDependability meets commitments, works independently, and accepts accountability, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirementsAdaptability/Flexibility adapts to change and adjusts to meet needs, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities as requiredAbility to read a tape measure/ruler Good mathematical skillsAbility to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job Troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and countSalary Range: $21.83 - $23.57The Apstar Assistant is responsible for providing assistance to the operator with setting up, running, inspecting and maintaining the machine.
