Our continued growth and diversity created this need for a trustworthy performer to help us broaden our success in these markets.What defines a successful BOA Builders Purchasing Agent?The most important deliverables for this position are:Efficient and Effective ProcurementManage the procurement of materials and services to ensure timely delivery within budgetDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers and trade partnersNegotiate contracts to secure the best prices and termsMaintain accurate records of all transactionsSoftware OptimizationContinue software deployment and system maintenanceComplete new and review existing takeoffs to maintain material listsIssue purchase orders and ensure accuracy in project management softwareContinue improvements and procedure documentation in all systemsPre-Construction CollaborationOversee project permittingBid and scope-of-work documentation for vertical constructionBudgeting for new homes and communitiesWarranty CoordinationReceive and track homeowner warranty requestsCoordinate warranty repairs with trade partners and service providersSchedule service visits and ensure warranty items are completed promptlyMaintain organized warranty records and communication logsCommunicate clearly with homeowners regarding scheduling and completionRental Property Maintenance CoordinationReceive and track maintenance requests from rental propertiesCoordinate maintenance scheduling with service providersEnsure repairs are completed efficiently and documentedMaintain organized records of maintenance activity and costsCommunicate with tenants or property managers regarding scheduling and completionWhat experience and skills are needed to be our Purchasing Agent?Ability to communicate clearly and effectively between field and office via email, text, and mobile devicesStrong negotiation skills and the desire to build long-term relationships with trade partnersExperience with procurement software and inventory management systemsHighly organized with excellent attention to detailExperience in the construction industryPrior purchasing experience requiredExperience issuing purchase orders preferredValid driver's license requiredAbility to travel locally as needed for site visits, meetings, or material pickup Pay & BenefitsFull-Time, W-2 employment.This is an on-site role in Grand Junction, CO, with occasional local travel for site visits, meetings, and material pickup.$60,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience. No commission; discretionary bonus may apply.Schedule: Standard business hours with occasional field visits as neededBenefits include: PTO, 401 (k), phone allowance, 12 paid holidays.
