Superintendent

Haydon Healy is partnered with a leading general contractor and looking to speak with experienced Superintendents for a major mission critical data center development in the St louis and surround areas. The RoleAs a Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations on a largescale mission critical construction project.You will lead trade partners, coordinate site activities, manage schedule performance, maintain safety standards, and ensure the work is delivered correctly, safely, and efficiently.Depending on your background, you may oversee civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, interiors, logistics, or specific area packages across the project.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily field operations across assigned areas of the project.Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers, and site personnel.Drive short-term planning, look-ahead schedules, and daily work activities.Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.Lead daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and field planning sessions.Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.Identify field issues early and work with project leadership to resolve them quickly.Monitor manpower, productivity, material deliveries, access, logistics, and sequencing.Coordinate closely with Project Managers, MEP Managers, Safety Managers, QA/QC teams, and client representatives.Support commissioning, turnover, inspections, punch list, and closeout activities where required.Maintain strong communication with project leadership and trade partners.Ideal Candidate BackgroundWe are looking for Superintendents with experience working for a General Contractor on complex construction projects.Mission critical or data center experience is highly desirable, but we are also keen to speak with strong Superintendents from other technically demanding sectors.Relevant backgrounds include:Data centersMission critical facilitiesHyperscale campusesAdvanced manufacturingSemiconductor facilitiesIndustrial constructionHealthcare constructionAviation projectsLife sciences / pharmaceutical facilitiesLarge commercial projectsMEP-intensive construction environmentsWhat We’re Looking ForPrevious experience as a Superintendent, Area Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or General Superintendent.General Contractor experience strongly preferred.Experience managing subcontractors and field teams on large construction projects.Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, safety, quality, and schedule management.Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.Experience with MEP-heavy or technically complex projects would be highly beneficial.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.OSHA 30 preferred.Willingness to be based in or travel to the Independence / Kansas City, Missouri area.Compensation & BenefitsA competitive package is available for the right candidate, which may include:Competitive salary based on experiencePer diem for eligible travelling candidatesHousing allowance or paid accommodationFood allowance / daily subsistenceTravel supportVehicle allowance or mileage reimbursementHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time offPaid holidaysLong-term project stabilityCareer progression opportunitiesFinal compensation will depend on experience, project fit, location, and travel requirements.
