"Developing and manufacturing your cell therapies from benchtop to bedside."Job SummaryCellipont Bioservices are growing, and we are looking for a Buyer/Planner I who believes in the potential of bridging client's discoveries to patient cures and who wants to challenge the status quo and take Cellipont and its clients to the next level.The Buyer/Planner I is responsible for indirect and direct material procurement, delivery, and confirmation of the delivery and release to support the Master Production Schedule. The Buyer/Planner requires a multifaceted skill set involving procurement, supply chain management, inventory control, supplier relationship management, and quality assurance.The Buyer/Planner I must embody Cellipont's core values by working collaboratively, building strong relationships, and using clear communication to meet shared objectives. This role reports directly to the VP, Operations & Site Head for The Woodlands facility and is pivotal in ensuring timely flow of materials management and supporting the organization's commitment to Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP).The Role Responsible for the supply of all materials to support production at The Woodlands facilityIdentify issues and resolve problems regarding materials. Supports problem resolution and communication to all affected internal departments.Lead investigations related to material discrepancies and other eventsGenerate and issues purchase orders (PO) to Suppliers in accordance with Approved Suppliers and Ensures timely approval of PO's with associated approval chainMaintain trackers of Order status, PO status, lead time, and receipt for all goodsSource new suppliers, vendors, distributors as needed based on input from Formulations and OperationsMonitor and adjust open PO's and supplier commitmentsResolves 3-way match issues to ensure timely supplier payment.Maintain inventory levels consistent with site policies and goals. Quarterly adjusts safety stock levels in JDE based on self-analysis of inventory levelsReview excess & obsoletes inventory and provide supporting data to seek customer reimbursement for customer owned materials.Process materials for shipment including material samples and supports shipment documentation preparation.Assist with other duties as assignedProvide exceptional customer service to internal customers.The Candidate High School Diploma or GED is required or Associate's Degree in life science, supply chain, or business is preferred with 4+years of direct experience in a GMP/CDMO environmentOr a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in a GMP/CDMO environmentAbility to demonstrate adequate knowledge of controls and requirements in a pharmaceutical environment is requiredCan demonstrate the successful development and implementation of sourcing strategiesClear knowledge and understanding of supply market, industry and category dynamicsA successful track record leading and managing complex negotiationsDemonstrates strong business judgment and critical thinking to create and evaluate innovative options and uses a fact-based decision-making process to develop and implement strategies that will drive positive results and deliver value Effectively assesses risk and implements mitigation plans to either prevent or minimize impact to ensure business continuityPrior experience leading projects is a plusPrevious ERP/MRP systems experience required Practical knowledge of lean supply practices is a plus.
