Simulator Technician

The Simulator Technician reports directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and is responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to F-35 Pilot Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devicesDetermines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specificationsRecommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solutionAssesses product needs in accordance with customer specificationsConducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representativesReadies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparationsActs as local on-site representative to customer's organizationMaintain DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certificationDocument all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying failure trendsWork with and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levelsMust be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentationManage and track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management teamRequired Qualifications/Experience:Security Plus certificate will be REQUIREDTechnical Report writingExperience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretationFault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system levelMilitary fighter aircraft experienceKnowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)Previous Field Service FSE/REP experienceAppropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.Security Clearance RequirementsThis position is located at a facility that will require special access clearance.Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 yearsMust be able to attain and maintain F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) accessMust be a US citizen
