The Fighters Mission Systems Avionics team is seeking an Auxiliary Processors Equipment Lead Engineer in Berkeley, MO . This position leads development, integration, test, and sustainment activities for auxiliary processors on Fighters programs including the F-15 and F/A-18 aircraft. The selected candidate will work with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, lead and coordinate work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. The candidate will lead efforts to test and validate system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met, coordinate with others to develop program test strategies, conduct program independent reviews and report to program leadership, provide support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle, and research technology advances for potential application to company business needs. The candidate will be recognized as an expert in process development, equipment qualification, physical and functional integration, installation design and resolving supplier technical issues.Lead work with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to develop and document requirements, designs, and specificationsAdvise, assist, and check the work of a team of equipment engineersBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementExperience developing, integrating, and testing avionics or mission systemsExperience developing platform/subsystem Interface Control Documents, Supplier Statements of Work, and technical platform/subsystem specifications and requirementsExperience with coordination between internal teams, customers, and outside suppliersExperience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and functional diagramsKnowledge of software requirements, software environments, and platform Operational Flight Program developmentKnowledge of configuration, change, and Risk/Issue/Opportunity management processesKnowledge of quality inspection and acceptance processes such as Fleet Impact Assessments, Authority To Ship, Nonconformance Records, Notice of Escapements...Familiarity with Agile development processProject Management/Control Account Manager experience – estimate new work/tasks, develop a schedule, execute and status effortKnowledge of Circuit Card Assembly design, fabrication, and verificationKnowledge of avionics box interfaces – MIL-STD-1553, Serial buses (i.e. RS-170, RS-422, RS-232), hardware discrete, ethernet/fiberKnowledge of Military Standards/Handbook implementations – MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, etc.Knowledge of core processing, image/display/video processing, Built-In Test requirements, and network protocolsStrong technical coordination between internal teams, customers, and outside suppliersShift:This position is for 1st ShiftRelocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
