JOB DESCRIPTION:High Jump, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing academic enrichment to talented middle school students with limited income, is seeking an energetic and innovative individual with strong leadership and organizational skills to manage the High Jump program at one campus that serves 150 students. The Campus Manager should have outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. A commitment to the High Jump mission and vision are essential. The Campus Manager is responsible for supervising site faculty, typically between 30-40 staff members; creating a culture of achievement; developing meaningful relationships with families; refining and implementing curricula; coordinating campus logistics with external partners and internal stakeholders; and playing an integral role in High Jump’s ongoing program and organizational development.Additionally, the staff member will take a leadership role in the recruiting and hiring of part-time teaching staff for the program.The Campus Manager reports to the Chief Programs Officer.POSITION STATUS:This is a full-time position in a hybrid work environment. Annual salary range of $65,000- $75,000 based on experience and credentials.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field required; Master Degree Preferred3 or more years of work experience in education or education-related non-profit programming requiredNotes: The Campus Manager is expected to make a commitment to work on Saturdays twice a month, September through May. During those weeks, Mondays will be awarded as comp days. This role may require travel to various locations across the city depending on program needs.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:High Jump Campus ManagementOperational Leadership: Lead all day-to-day operations for Summer (5-6 weeks) and Saturday sessions (~15 days), serving as the primary on-site decision-maker and spokespersonPersonnel Management: Supervise, coach, and manage performance for staff members, including teachers, TAs, interns, and volunteers; facilitate regular faculty meetings and professional developmentStudent Support & Family Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for families; oversee attendance, progress monitoring, and outreach to ensure student successAdministrative & Fiscal Oversight: Manage the site budget, including procurement, expense tracking, monthly reporting, and staff timesheet compliancePartnership Coordination: Build and maintain strategic relationships with partner school leaders, faculty, and host campus staffProgramming & Culture: Plan and execute campus events (field trips, celebrations) that reflect the High Jump mission and build community among all stakeholdersCurriculum SupportWork with High Jump team to develop and update curriculumWork with High Jump staff to assess program through surveys and data collectionManage student and parent data and information as related to your campus Student & Family EngagementSupport student retention and ongoing engagement with studentsKeep families informed through consistent communication and on-campus eventsCreate and coordinate family engagement opportunitiesProvide additional support to High School Choice programming with individual check-ins with studentsStaff Recruiting LeadershipManage Postings & Interview Process of Part-Time positions on Jazz HR websiteEngage with High Jump’s Human Resources Department on a regular basisSupport Program Team colleagues on issues related to staffingCollaboration with Other High Jump ProgrammingCampus Manager also meets with their program team colleagues weekly and collaborates on a variety of projects that extend beyond their campus (e.g. High School Choice, Curriculum, Events, Recruitment) KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Must exhibit a Growth MindsetStrong Communication and writing skillsAbility to stay organized with multiple projects and prioritiesAttention to Detail (Data Entry, Correspondence, etc)Must be committed to, and have experience working with, students and passionate teachersStrong leadership and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and handle high-pressure situations. Ability to understand the context of a program and how it affects program planning, implementation, outcomes, and evaluationSkilled in leadership and the ability to move teams forward towards a common goalAbility to engage with, listen to, and learn from a broad range of stakeholders, encouraging their meaningful participationAbility to prepare and present observations and goals in a manner that increases the acceptance and use by a diverse group of stakeholdersInterested in education research and staying current with the field of middle grades instruction, urban education, and high school and college successProficiency with technology, including Google Suite and Microsoft OfficeOther ItemsMust be a mission driven person, committed to performing their functions so that the mission of the organization can be achieved.
