CDL Driver / Moffett

Description: Kirchner Building Centers is a family owned and operated business serving East Central Illinois, Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. The company was founded in 1906 and continues to grow with each generation. Kirchner Building Centers is seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a CDL Moffett Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Moffett truck, while manually unloading/delivering various products to our customers. The CDL Moffett Driver position is directly responsible for properly loading customers, staging and transporting material for deliveries, and creating a positive customer experience. Requirements: Salary Range: Up to $24.00 per hour based on experience Benefits available to CDL Moffett Driver: 401(k) with company match Health Insurance Dental Vision Life Insurance Health Savings Account Health Reimbursement Account Supplemental Insurance Paid Time Off Local Routes / Home Daily Experience and License Requirements of the CDL Moffett Driver: Must have CDL endorsement (Class B preferred) Minimum of 6 months previous experience as a Moffett truck operator, required Clean driving record Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire (training/testing provided by Kirchner Building Centers) Able to travel to and from work in Princeton, IN Must be able to complete pre-employment screenings Physical Requirements of the CDL Moffett Driver: May need to lift, push, or move products weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds Ability to read, write and communicate in English Responsibility & Duties of the CDL Moffett Driver: Assist customers who require material from the yard in a professional manner. Keep inventory organized and in the proper storage area at all times. Constantly check material for quality standards. Maintain stock in a sellable condition; never receive a product that is not in sellable condition. Proactive approach to preventing damage to inventory and product. Prevent tripping hazards in the drive or walkways. Always maintain a safety first mentality. Properly stage and load product for delivery. Properly package material before delivering or before customer departs from the store. (shrink wrap, flag, box, and strap material) Responsible for proper paperwork for deliveries, incoming inventory, and inner-yard. Abide by traffic laws posted in the area. Responsible for unloading product from vendors, inner-yard and delivery trucks. Trucks and forklift must be kept clean and in working condition. Inform Sales Representative when their special orders arrive. Must maintain and adhere to all safety and health standards as established by OSHA and Kirchner Building Centers. Other duties assigned by store manager or ownership.
