Construction Project Engineer
Our client is a full-service underground utility contractor specializing in dry utility construction, replacement, and relocation. With more than 90 years of experience, Our client is the premiere contractor in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
1. Time and Material Entry:
- Receive time and material tickets from the field team.
- Request material invoices from the accounting department.
- Compile all information to assemble time and material packages for submission to the customer.
2. Miss Utility Ticket Entry:
- Learn and adhere to Miss Utility Ticket Entry and Law for VA811.
- Enter information for the initial ticket and update tickets daily.
3. Machine Track:
- Schedule and record all owned and rental equipment on different projects.
4. Daily Material Orders:
- Receive calls from field teams for material orders.
5. Shoring Tracking:
- Record and keep track of different shoring items.
6. Safety Information:
- Request and compile safety documents for projects.
7. Submittals:
- Gather all submittal information and compile for the customer.
8. Billing Waivers:
- Compile and fill out waivers for monthly billing.
9. Field Daily Documentation Management:
- Ensure accurate and organized documentation of daily field activities.
10. Change Order and RFI Organization and Tracking:
- Manage the organization and tracking of change orders and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Qualifications
Strong communication, project management, and project engineering skills
Experience in project planning and execution
Electrical engineering knowledge and experience is required
Experience in the construction/underground utility industry is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Pay: $67,288.88 - $81,036.06 per year
