Manager Compensation
Position Summary
The Manager Compensation reports to the Director of Compensation and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compensation programs and policies. This position proactively partners with the People Business Partner team, Talent Acquisition and cross-functional leaders to provide strategic support and advice to ensure our Compensation programs attract top talent and reward crewmember performance.
Essential Responsibilities
Manage compensation strategy and administration for Commercial and Support Center functions in partnership with the People Business Partner team
Develop and maintain companywide compensation governance protocols, compliance and administration guidelines
Lead all aspects of the year-end compensation planning cycle, including merit, bonus and equity planning
Partner with IT to enhance, test and validate the Compensation Planning module
Maintain the Career Framework infrastructure and ensure pay structures are competitive, fair and sustainable
Manage position evaluations to ensure that roles are leveled correctly, ensuring consistency across departments
Analyze salary data and market trends; recommend changes or updates to internal salary ranges to effectively attract and retain talent
Develop and deliver training to internal People team stakeholders and leaders across the organization on topics such as Career Framework and the Year End compensation planning cycle
Develop compensation recommendations based on data analysis and business strategy
Advise on job offers, promotions, and pay adjustments in partnership with People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition
Responsible for leading ad hoc project and initiatives, presenting complex data and recommendations to leaders in a clear, concise and business-focused manner
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pay regulations, proactively address necessary changes
Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in Compensation
Three (3) years of previous leadership experience
Demonstrated project management skills in a dynamic operating environment in which there are competing demands on time and resources while providing exceptional customer service
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set and manage timelines and priorities
Ability to apply statistical metrics and execute processes to analyze and measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of corporate compensation plan design, administration, and practices
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
Ability to work, develop and maintain ongoing relationships with different levels within the organization
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
Knowledge of SharePoint, Outlook and Microsoft Office
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business or Human Resources
Project Management Certification and/or courses
Strong knowledge of SAP
One (1) year of experience working on large scale projects or compensation initiatives in an airline role
Experience with strategic planning, project management, change management, budgeting and/or cost/benefit analysis
Facilitating presentations in front of large groups, including senior leadership
Providing high-quality customer service in a matrix structure with a commitment to meeting or exceeding expectations

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
