You will need to be able to work in small and large groups as well as simultaneously execute an entire project on time.On-Orbit Operations EngineerOverview:The On-Orbit Operations Engineer will be responsible for developing all Ops products and all On-Orbit related Ops activities needed to command & control the payloads on ISS. This position will also conduct all Ops Functional tests and HFIT, prepare all ISS bound payloads for launch, as well as all crew IVA Ops products and eventually support the ISS Crew with any On-Orbit IVA activities as well as command and control payloads.MUST have Flight Controller training and the listed certifications.Essential Duties:Check the NRAL health and status on a regular basis with the goal of keeping NRAL in good operational conditionSupport NASA/MCC-H with all NRAL Operations in preparation for an Airlock sortieCoordinate with ISS bound payload customers to gather the Con-Op and all knowledge needed to conduct the payload experiment or operations on orbit, as well as preparing the payloads for launchSupport the ISS Crew and/or NASA MCC-H or NASA/POIC to conduct real-time operations of the company's Airlock or company's payloads on ISSCommand and control the company's payloads on ISS from the company's BRIDGE per each payloads Con-op and requirements to achieve mission success for each payloadRecord, report, and analyze spacecraft mission data by observing data and preparing summaries of data via written tabulations, charts, graphs, and reports as necessaryProvide technical assistance to lower-level operators in work areaAdditional Responsibilities:Available to be on call 24 hours a day, 7days a week, and 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays, for Real-Time OperationsComplete hands-on tasks while handling flight hardware with care and respectTrain the NASA ISS Astronauts about the company's AirlockAvailable to travel occasionallyOther duties as assignedRequirements:Education:Bachelors degree from four-year college or university requiredB.S. in Engineering and Computer Science preferredMasters degree from four-year college or university preferredExperience:At least 2 years experience required2 years post NASA certification requiredTeaching experience a plusCertifications & Licenses:NASA Flight Controller Certified for either ISS or Space Shuttle Flight Controllers
