Role Snapshot
This Mechanical Engineer will join the Product Development team and play a hands-on role in the design, verification, validation, and risk assessment of new and customized products. The role works closely with product development engineers, product management, sales, and manufacturing to deliver new product development projects from concept through launch. Strong analytical, simulation, and design verification skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test mechanical products from concept to completion for custom customer applications
Process Engineering Change Orders to revise designs and support custom solutions
Perform mechanical design activities including modeling, drafting, prototyping, and testing
Support new product launches and transition designs from R&D to product platforms
Complete mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure design compliance prior to testing or manufacturing
Perform stress, durability, and fatigue life analysis on mechanical components and systems
Select materials and recommend appropriate manufacturing processes
Actively participate in building, assembling, and testing prototypes
Perform design verification and validation to ensure products meet specifications
Identify and mitigate product and project risks throughout development using structured methodologies
Support corrective action investigations and implementation of permanent solutions
Perform on-site inspections and support commissioning activities
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
3–7 years of mechanical engineering experience
Strong experience with design verification, validation, and risk analysis
Hands-on experience with simulation and analysis tools including FEA
Familiarity with APQP, FMEA, and structured product development processes
Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical design requirements
Electrical or electronic exposure is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
