As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol ferry terminals and waterfront areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist the public with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, report concerns, and work with site teams to support smooth daily operations. At Allied Universal, you will be agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, team-driven, and guided by integrity.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $18.02 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeMon08:15 AM - 04:45 PMTue08:15 AM - 04:45 PMWed08:15 AM - 04:45 PMThur08:15 AM - 04:45 PMSun08:15 AM - 04:45 PMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation facility.Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminal areas, waiting areas, docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and direct individuals to appropriate entrances, queuing areas, and/or service locations.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and/or public agencies as needed.Complete reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate timely updates through approved channels and/or post orders.Minimum Requirements:Have 1+ years of security-related experience.Have a TSA issued TWIC.A guard card/license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
