Catholic Worship Musician

Fort Johnson, Louisiana, requires Musician Services (Pianist/Keyboardist, Organist, Guitar Player, Drummer, Vocalist or Vocal Soloist) in support of military religious and worship activities. The work will be performed at Fort Johnson, Louisiana. Specifically, the services are to be provided at the following locations within the fort: Date: from 29 September 2024 to 28 September 2025 Time: Weekly on Sundays at 9:00 AM Main Post Chapel, located at 7217 Stannard St. Glory Chapel, located at 1168 Glory Loop. Other locations as designated by the Religious Support Office or event locations on the installation/garrison, according to the published religious worship and observance schedules. Here are the eligibility requirements, key deliverables, and objectives of the contract as outlined in the Statement of Work: ### Eligibility Requirements - **Musical Proficiency:** Musicians must be proficient on their specific instruments and in reading music. - **Experience:** Musicians are required to have experience performing in religious worship settings. A minimum of two years of experience is generally required, although this may be waived by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) based on the review of the musician's qualifications. - **Background Checks:** Musicians must pass a thorough Criminal History Background Check and comply with all local and federal regulations for working on a military installation. - **Training Certifications:** Completion of Anti-terrorism Level I Awareness Training and Operations Security (OPSEC) Level I training are required within specified timeframes post-contract award. ### Key Deliverables - **Musician Services:** Provision of music during regular and special Catholic worship services, including preludes, postludes, and musical accompaniment during services. - **Rehearsal Participation:** Participation in rehearsals prior to worship and special services to ensure preparedness and quality of performance. - **Planning and Coordination:** Active participation in planning and coordination meetings to integrate music seamlessly into worship services. - Job Type: Contract Pay: From $21.01 per hour Expected hours: 1 per week Ability to Commute: Leesville, LA 71446 (Required) Work Location: In person
