Test Engineer - Electronics
Overview
As a Test Engineer in Camarillo, you will develop automated test software to validate electronic assemblies, working with design and production teams to improve test efficiency. You will validate hardware, software, and system-level designs and create test routines for wide power ranges and network interfaces. This role emphasizes collaboration across engineering and manufacturing to reduce cycle time and costs while increasing product quality. You will shape test processes and fixtures for power electronics testing and contribute to new product development.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement automated test software to validate electronic assemblies to design requirementsProvide testability input to Engineering during new product developmentSupport manufacturing test activities for analog, digital, and embedded devicesDesign and develop code for test fixtures used in power electronics testingDevelop new test processes, methodologies and facilities to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and lower product costsCollaborate with Analog and Digital Design Engineers, Product Management, Sales, and Production teamsSupport testing of network interfaces, including CAN EtherCat and RS 485
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering TechnologyExperience writing code to automate test routines for electronic assembliesExperience with data acquisition, serial communication, and related programming interfacesFamiliarity with bench-top electronic test equipmentObject-oriented programming experience in C++ or C#TCP/IP communication experienceSQL and basic database managementcross-functional collaborationproblem-solvingeffective communicationautomated test software developmentdata acquisitionserial communication
