Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Information Technology Business Operations Chief of Staff to join the team in Hazelwood, MO.This role reports to the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Boeing Defense Systems (BDS) Chief Information Officer (CIO).The selected candidate will support the Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) BDS CIO Organization, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to support executive directors with multiple areas of responsibility. As a Senior IT Business Operations Chief of Staff , you will partner directly with the Executive Directors to accelerate strategic priorities, ensure program delivery, and align cross-functional stakeholders.You will operate where strategy, execution, and communication meet. The Senior IT Business Operations Chief of Staff turns complex technical and commercial conversations into clear recommendations for leaders and ensures steady advancement of strategic work.The ideal candidate is a decisive problem solver with a “get-it-done” attitude who removes obstacles and delivers results while aligning daily activities to a broader operating model.Position Responsibilities:Leadership:Serve as a trusted advisor to synthesize issues, surface options, and recommend decision-grade actionsProvide oversight of actions related to operations, risk, and portfolio/financial management; ensure consistent follow-through.Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvementFacilitate collaboration between various divisions to ensure alignment on priorities and initiativesDemonstrate versatility and resilience in navigating challenges and adapting to changing business needsCoordinate across the executive director’s leadership team to build alignment, remove blockers, and track commitments to closureReporting & InsightsManage the executive director’s cadence (meetings, prep, readouts) and triage incoming requests to protect executive timePrepare materials for executive meetings, including presentations, reports, and strategic documentsProduce clear, timely business performance updates and executive scorecard updates that drive leadership decisionsMaintain dashboards and executive metrics Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment to strategic priorities and enable fact-based course correctionsTranslate complex data into concise, actionable narratives and recommendations for senior leadersStrategy & Cross Functional PartnershipAct as a strategic partner: anticipate needs, identify opportunities to scale or simplify work, and ensure initiatives align to the IDT&S vision and roadmapTranslate strategy into execution by creating plans with owners, milestones, and measurable outcomes aligned to strategic goalsManage stakeholder relationships across the organization, ensuring effective communication and alignment on strategic prioritiesSupport development and vetting of multi-year business cases and priority setting for strategic initiativesSupport organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication throughout the processFinancial & Workforce OperationsMonitor budget-to-actuals and recommend course corrections.Coordinate workforce and resourcing requests through intake, prioritization, and approval from the Leadership Team (LT) Human Resources (HR) and Finance) - ensuring healthy backlog management for the organizationWork with leadership team to manage headcount forecasts.CommunicationPrepare executive director’s communications including memos, talking points, and presentationsDevelop visual representations of concepts and ideas appropriate for the audienceBe the “nervous system” of the organization: ensure timely, consistent communication across regions and stakeholdersFacilitate regional leadership meetings and regular Employee Briefings, including general management of the meeting, agenda and content preparation, and notes disseminationBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience5+ years of experience in an Information Technology, Digital, or Engineering environment5+ years of experience with program and/or portfolio delivery5+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions5+ years of experience managing metrics to drive data driven solutions/decisions5+ years of experience developing presentations for and presenting to executive leadership5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguityPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5+ years working in the aerospace industry5+ years of experience as an executive-level chief of staff or Office of CIO5+ years of experience in Program Management, Compliance, Risk Management and Finance5+ years of experience with the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) goal-setting framework5+ years working in complex environments and matrix organizations5+ years of experience in change management and organizational developmentConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
