The Role: Financial Analyst, FP&A Capex
As a Financial Analyst, FP&A Capex, you support capital planning and financial tracking across Switch's data center portfolio. You partner with Construction, Development, Treasury, and Billing to help ensure capital spend is forecasted, funded, and reported accurately. This role focuses on maintaining budgets, analyzing variances, and improving financial visibility into active projects. You will work with planning tools and financial systems to keep capital data current and reliable.
What You'll Do
Support the creation and tracking of facility capex budgets across assigned regions and campuses
Maintain capital forecasts by project, location, and asset class in Adaptive or successor planning tools
Assist with annual capex planning and periodic forecast updates
Participate in monthly budget versus actual reviews and prepare variance analysisTrack commitments, cost to complete, and estimated at completion for active projects
Build and update financial models to compare project performance against underwriting and forecast assumptions
Partner with Construction, Development, Treasury, and Billing to ensure accurate financial reporting
Analyze capital data to identify trends, risks, and cost savings opportunities
Support ad hoc capital analysis and reporting requests from the Finance team

Organized and detail-oriented when managing multiple projects
Comfortable working with large data sets and reconciling discrepancies
Collaborative partner who supports cross-functional teams with practical financial insight
Willing to learn the data center construction process and capital lifecycle
What You'll Bring
Required
1–3 years of experience in FP&A, project finance, construction finance, infrastructure finance, or similar
Experience supporting capital budgeting, forecasting, or project financial tracking
Strong Excel skills and experience building or maintaining financial models
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Preferred
Experience with Oracle Fusion Projects or PPM
Experience with Oracle EPM Planning or similar planning systems
Exposure to project costing, work in progress reporting, or capitalization processes
CPA, CMA, or PMP certification
