PurposeJob DescriptionA Packer is responsible for machine set up and fulfilling orders by arranging inventory in shipping containers and preparing them for shipment and basic troubleshooting. Their duties include interpreting order invoices to determine which items need to be sent out, performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.ResponsibilitiesWeighing packages and labeling them appropriatelyInspecting product to ensure they meet specificationAssembling daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categoriesFilling out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping informationSealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriatelyAll other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisorFollows all safety and food safety rulesQualificationsGood knowledge of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, division and multiplicationAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment for long hoursExcellent organizational skillsExcellent attention to detailGood communication skillsPrevious manufacturing experience is a plusOur ExpectationsWe Expect Our People To Be Guided By The Amcor Way And Demonstrate Our Values Every Day To Enable The Business To Win.
