Details Acute care hospital setting at a Level II Trauma Center Med/Surg Telemetry unit across floors 7 West, 7 East, and 5 East — 60 beds total Primarily adult patient population with a very small pediatric volume (approximately 1–5 pediatric patients per year) Common diagnoses include post-surgical recovery, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, generalized weakness, and cancer RN-to-patient ratio of 1:5 12-hour night shifts (1830–0700) Every other weekend required Floating required to 6E, acute rehab unit, and geriatric psych unit EMR: Epic IV pump: Alaris 13-week contract Requirements Active NE or Compact (NLC) RN license required — no pending licenses accepted Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Current BLS certification required — no pending certifications accepted Epic EMR experience required Alaris IV pump experience preferred Driver's license required for consideration and used to verify permanent address 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address verified via driver's license) Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered Additional Information Serves a diverse patient population including African American and Korean-speaking communities — cultural competency and inclusive care are highly valued The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and genuine commitment to patient and team well-being A pass/fail open-book skills exam is administered on Friday of orientation — a minimum score of 90% is required to continue the assignment Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply will result to contract termination Navy scrubs required Orientation is 12 hours American Traveler Job ID P-690381.
