We are seeking an Electronic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to contribute directly to the development, integration, and certification of advanced network systems on the 787 program in Everett, Washington.This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software, electrical systems, and aircraft integration—helping transform customer requirements into safe, reliable, and high-performance airborne network architectures that operate at scale across a world-class fleet.Role Summary & ImpactIn this role, you will play a key part in the design, development, testing, and sustainment of electronic and software-based network systems used across commercial aircraft platforms. Your work will directly influence system reliability, aircraft performance, and passenger connectivity experiences on the 787 fleet.You will contribute across the full product lifecycle—from early concept development and system definition through certification, production, delivery, and in-service support—ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence in one of the most advanced aerospace environments in the world.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements for aircraft network systemsDesign software and interface specifications aligned with aircraft architecture and customer needsCollaborate with internal teams and airline customers to define and refine system and interface requirementsCreate software scripts to automate testing procedures, validation, and system analysisTest and validate system designs to ensure they meet functional, operational, and certification requirementsSupport airplane installation design and certification efforts for network systems on commercial aircraft programsEngage with airline stakeholders to understand operational use cases and system expectationsMaintain configuration matrices for aircraft customer configurations and system architecturesSupport engineering releases related to airplane definitions, options, and production changesTroubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues across the full product lifecycleMonitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance requirements are metResearch emerging technologies for potential application in future aerospace systemsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related technical field) from an accredited institution1–3 years of software engineering or systems engineering experienceUnderstanding of software development principles and ability to identify issues in technical documentationAbility to work within complex system environments involving hardware/software integrationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsThis position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
