Plumbing Project Engineer

Role DescriptionThis full-time role is for a Plumbing Project Engineer responsible for leading and supporting plumbing system design projects from concept through construction administration. The Plumbing Project Engineer will coordinate with internal engineering teams, architects, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality, coordinated construction documents and successful project outcomes.The ideal candidate will possess strong technical plumbing design capabilities, project coordination experience, and the ability to independently manage plumbing engineering responsibilities on commercial and industrial projects.This role is based in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Candidates located elsewhere but willing to relocate to Cleveland for at least several years are strongly encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesDesign and coordinate plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and healthcare projectDevelop plumbing construction documents utilizing RevitPerform plumbing calculations including :Domestic water demand calculation, Water piping sizing, Sanitary/waste system sizing, Storm drainage calculations and piping sizingCoordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teamSupport project managers with project execution, schedules, and deliverableParticipate in design reviews and QA/QC processeCoordinate with contractors and assist during construction administration phaseReview shop drawings, RFIs, and submittalEnsure designs comply with applicable plumbing codes and industry standardCommunicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal project teamQualification4-8+ years of plumbing design experience in an MEP consulting or building systems environment preferredCertified Plumbing Designer (CPD) preferred, or equivalent relevant plumbing engineering experiencePE License is not requiredProficiency in Revit requiredStrong understanding of plumbing systems design and building coordinationAbility to independently perform plumbing calculations and pipe sizingExperience with commercial and institutional building projects preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teamsWillingness to relocate to or be based in the Cleveland, Ohio area for several years
