Job Description Position SummaryThe Psychotherapist is a core clinical provider within EFMNY's Westchester satellite clinic, delivering evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals with epilepsy, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD/DD), and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.This role operates within a collaborative model alongside Community Living Corporation (CLC), supporting individuals in IRA settings. The position utilizes a hybrid service model, providing virtual services (Article 31) and in-person care (Article 16) to ensure continuity, access, and coordinated care.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical ServicesProvide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based practicesConduct intakes, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment planningMaintain caseload, ensuring engagement, follow-up, and continuity of careEnsure documentation supports medical necessity, billing, and complianceCo-Facilitate clinical groups (e.g., anger management, coping skills, social skills, psychoeducation)Clinical Training & SupportProvide training to staff on:PHQ-9 administration and interpretationColumbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS)Best practices for biopsychosocial assessmentsSupport consistent use of screening tools and clinical documentation standardsServe as a resource for assessment, risk identification, and intake processesMaintain a target caseload aligned with full-time productivity expectations, generally ranging between approximately 30–40 active clients, depending on service mix, scheduling needs, and program demandsCensus Growth & EngagementSupport clinic growth through referral follow-up and intake engagementRe-engage inactive clients and promote retentionCollaborate with administrative staff to ensure timely service initiationCoordination & Client OversightCoordinate with residential (IRA) and day habilitation teamsProvide oversight during transitional periods (post-day habilitation) as neededCollaborate with housing managers to support treatment adherence and attendanceCrisis & Interdisciplinary CareProvide crisis intervention and stabilization supportParticipate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to Life PlansSupport integration of clinical services within broader care coordinationDocumentation & ComplianceComplete all documentation in TenEleven (10e11) EHRMaintain accurate, timely, and audit-ready recordsAdhere to OMH, OPWDD, DOH, and EFMNY standards*This job description does not contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities.
