A well-established senior care organization in the Venice/Sarasota region is seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and customer-service–driven Admissions Director to lead and coordinate the admissions process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and experienced in healthcare admissions or resident onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the full admissions process from referral to arrival.
Communicate with families, hospitals, physicians, and case managers to gather clinical information and ensure eligibility.
Conduct facility tours and provide timely follow-up to prospective residents and families.
Verify insurance benefits, complete admissions paperwork, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate census data, referral logs, and daily admissions activity reports.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and administration to ensure smooth transitions and room readiness.
Promote excellent customer service and serve as a positive representative of the organization.
Qualifications:
Experience in admissions within skilled nursing, assisted living, home health, or related healthcare setting required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support families during stressful decision-making.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care insurance processes preferred.
High level of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for marketing or hospital visits.
