Maintenance ManagerJob DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance ManagerPrepared Date: 3/21/26Summary: This position will lead maintenance through the cultural and technical transitions from reactive to predictive and preventative. This position will work closely with the Plant Management Team to solve legacy failure modes and upgrade equipment performance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to this classification.Build a culture and deploy systems in maintenance to ensure the department works injury free.Achieves company goals by determining accountabilities, communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedure implementation.Assess the current condition of the department and develop a road map to predictive and preventative maintenance.Manages maintenance staff to include recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, discipline, and performance appraisal.Maximizes equipment operation by developing, scheduling, and executing operational preventive maintenance and organizing change-overs.Develop partnership between Operations and Maintenance organizations to change the business culture necessary for joint ownership of reliability excellence.This role will also be responsible for driving CMMS utilization to optimize PLANNING and SCHEDULING.Develops maintenance financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating maintenance requirements, trends, and variances. Aligning monetary resources, developing action plans, measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions and minimizing the impact of variances.Keeps spare parts and maintenance materials available by scheduling, monitoring, and adjusting deliveries.Knowledge:Predictive and preventative maintenanceMaintenance workflow managementPlanning and executing maintenance outages and down daysPM optimizationSkills:LeadershipCoordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
