HVAC Quality Management System Development: Develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) tailored to HVAC assembly, ensuring compliance with best practices and specific customer efficiency requirements. Compliance Audits: Perform internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with industry standards, preparing detailed reports on findings and recommendations. Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into field failures or production defects (e.g., compressor issues or coil leaks), implementing corrective actions to eliminate repeat occurrences. Production Safety & Risk Oversight Safety Policy Enforcement: Establish and enforce safety policies specifically targeting hazards, such as PPE compliance and safe handling of refrigerants. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments on brazing stations, testing areas, and production operations to identify and mitigate hazards. Corrective Actions: Implement proactive safety measures and manage documentation for workplace safety certifications. Leadership, Training & Collaboration Training and Development: Facilitate training sessions on quality improvement and safety practices, including brazing safety, electrical hazard awareness, department certifications and the like. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and assembly teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure product compliance with internal and external standards. Culture of Accountability: Lead and motivate teams to foster a culture where quality and safety are prioritized at every stage of production. Requirements & Skills Education: A Degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Safety Management, or a related technical field is desired. Experience: Essential experience in HVAC manufacturing or a related high-precision production environment. Previous management experience is strongly desired. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement in quality (e.g., Statistical Process Control) and safety processes. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to collaborate with technical engineers and shop floor personnel effectively. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with HVAC-specific certifications (AHRI, UL) and refrigerant handling protocols is a significant advantage.
