Tender Manager
The Tender Manager is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end tendering process ensuring competitive, compliant, and commercially sound bids. This role plays a critical part in securing new business while mitigating commercial and operational risks.Key ResponsibilitiesTender & Bid ManagementLead the preparation, coordination, and submission of technical and commercial proposals (ITTs, RFQs, RFPs).Review tender documents to identify scope, risks, and key deliverables.Shall also serve as the commercial lead and act as the sole point of contact with the Client.Develop bid strategies aligned with company objectives and client requirements.Ensure timely and compliant submission of all tender documents in line with Company procedures.Commercial & CostingCoordinate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to develop accurate cost estimates.Structure pricing strategies considering market conditions, logistics, operational costs & competition in the market.Review and negotiate commercial & contractual terms and conditions.Technical CoordinationLiaise with engineering and operations teams to ensure technical compliance.Consolidate inputs from various departments into a cohesive proposal.Ensure all technical clarifications are addressed prior to submission.Risk ManagementIdentify commercial, contractual, and operational risks in tenders.Develop mitigation strategies and highlight key risks to management.Ensure alignment with company risk appetite and governance processes.Client & Stakeholder EngagementClarify client requirements and manage communications.Support post-submission discussions, presentations, and negotiations.Process ImprovementMaintain and improve tendering procedures, templates, and tools.Compliance & GovernanceEnsure all bids comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.5–10+ years of experience in tendering, bidding, or commercial roles within the oil & gas or energy sector.Strong understanding of subsea / offshore operations, logistics, and project execution.Experience with EPC, marine, or offshore service contracts is an advantage.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong commercial acumen and cost analysis skills.Excellent project management and organizational abilities.High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams.Proficiency in tendering tools and Microsoft Office Suite.Reporting LineReports to: APAC Tender Manager / Commercial DirectorJ-18808-Ljbffr
