This is a Service Critical Position and requires participation in an on-call rotation approximately 2-3 times per year for 8 days at a time. The Engineering and Inspections Department is seeking skilled and motivated HVAC professionals to join our Building Maintenance Division as Maintenance Mechanic II - HVAC. This is a high-level HVAC position that works independently, requires minimal supervision, and plays a critical role in maintaining safe, efficient, and functional City facilities. The Maintenance Mechanic II - HVAC works independently and is responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex HVAC issues while ensuring compliance with all applicable industry and OSHA safety standards. Primary duties include inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing defective HVAC equipment, electrical components, controls, and wiring. This position also tests electrical circuits and system components using diagnostic testing equipment, performs system inspections, and verifies equipment performance and compliance with specifications.
