Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing software solutions to enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of building HVAC systems. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing and testing programs that control HVAC systems, enabling advanced functionality and control capabilities for building end users.Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls engineers, HVAC technicians, and project managers to define software requirements and specifications for HVAC system components. Design, develop, and maintain software programs and embedded systems for controlling and monitoring HVAC systems. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software components to ensure reliability, robustness, and compliance with industry standards. Integrate software solutions with hardware platforms and third-party systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and compatibility. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and customers during product development, deployment, and maintenance phases. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in software technologies, HVAC systems, and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Document software designs, implementation details, and test procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in HVACR, preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in programming product lines such as Niagara, Distech, Johnson Controls, and Honeywell. Experience with communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet) and networking technologies (TCP/IP, UDP) is desirable. Knowledge of HVAC systems, energy management, and building automation. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and algorithms, with the ability to apply them to complex engineering problems.
