Forklift Operator - Sit-Down

Job Description Description:Job Title: Forklift Operator – Sit-DownJob Hours (Shift):Location:Position Summary:The Forklift Operator – Sit-Down is responsible for operating sit-down forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse and loading dock areas. This role ensures safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of goods to support daily logistics operations.What will you do:Operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials between dock, staging, and storage areasPerform daily pre-shift inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working conditionLoad and unload trailers while maintaining product integrity and proper weight distributionAccurately scan and track inventory movements using RF scanners or manual systemsEnsure materials are properly staged and stored according to operational requirementsFollow all safety standards, operating procedures, and company policiesRequirements: Qualifications:3-5 experience operating sit-down forklifts preferredAbility to obtain powered industrial equipment certificationStrong understanding of warehouse safety practicesAttention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to obtain certification for powered industrial equipmentExperience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferredStrong attention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to work in a fast-paced warehouse environmentMust be able to pass a criminal background checkMust be able to pass a drug screeningWork Environment:Warehouse and dock environment with frequent forklift trafficProlonged periods of sitting while operating equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. as neededExposure to outdoor elements at loading docks and varying temperaturesRequired use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Why Join Schnellecke Logistics:Schnellecke Logistics is a global, family-owned logistics provider with more than 80 years of experience supporting automotive and industrial supply chains.
