OVERVIEWThe Tortilla maker is responsible for prepping all ingredients for the station and assisting with prepping other dishes. This position provides customer satisfaction by mixing, manufacturing, baking, frying and displaying delicious flour and corn tortillas.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Makes the dough for corn tortillas as needed.Rolls all flour tortillas.Operation of kitchen equipment including tortilla maker.Assumes responsibility for quality of flour products served daily.Ensures that sanitation standards are maintained by cleaning and sanitizing all utensils and preparation area.Assists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerator, freezer, etc. clean and organized.Assists kitchen with food preparation as assigned.REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:Prior cooking experience in a high volume fast-paced restaurant setting.Must practice safe and sanitary work habits set forth by Texas Health Department.Be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for prolonged hours during shift.Be able to work professionally under pressure and communicate properly with the team and management at all times.Texas Food Handlers Certification required.Must be at least 18 years old.BENEFITS:Weekly PayrollFood DiscountsAccess to wellness resources and support servicesEligibility for full medical benefits after 12 months of consistent full-time hours.Medical membership with preventive and diagnostic coverage during the first year (part-time)Goode Co. is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate against an employee or applicant based upon race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, or veteran's status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
