Payroll Clerk

General Summary Working in collaboration with the VP of Human Resources and the Executive Director of Human Resources, provides thought leadership, guidance and management of all compensation programs, including base pay and incentive plans that align with the organization’s compensation philosophy. Collaborates and partners with leaders in the development and design of compensation programs ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness and compliance with all applicable laws and collective bargaining agreements. Experience: · Three to five years of experience in compensation administration or related HR field with a strong emphasis on compensation. · Working knowledge of federal and/or state regulations affecting the administration of benefit and retirement plans including Section 125, ERISA COBRA FMLA, HIPAA, ACA, IRS and FLSA. · Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to exercise sound judgement regarding confidential or sensitive information or issues. · Ability to gather and analyze data, statistics, or other information to establish facts and present recommendations rooted in law, policy, or expected practices. · Continuous improvement mindset. · Effective consultation and communication skills with the ability to convey complex analysis and recommendations to a wide variety of audiences. · Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Education: High school diploma (GED equivalent) required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Data Analytics, or related field is preferred. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
