Cook Position at Pine Creek ManorAbout the Role:Experience in a senior nursing healthcare or hospital dietary setting strongly desired.We are seeking a skilled and experienced Part Time/ OR Full Time Cook to join our team at Pine Creek Manor in PSV. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standard, ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals. You will work closely with our dietary team to plan menus and ensure that all dietary requirements are met. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the high standards of our facility and ensuring the satisfaction of our residents. This position is primarily for day shift but may cover some afternoon shifts if needed from time to time.Minimum Qualifications:Proven experience as a Cook, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar roleMust have or be able to obtain a Serv-Safe certification upon offerKnowledge of food safety and hygiene regulationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasksExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications:Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related fieldServ-Safe Certification (*needed upon offer)High School diploma or equivalent (*needed upon offer/ document or transcript)Experience working in a healthcare or senior living environmentExperience with menu planning and inventory managementResponsibilities:Prepare and cook meals to the highest standard, ensuring that all dietary requirements are metPlan menus in collaboration with the dietary teamMaintain a clean and organized kitchenEnsure that all food is stored and handled safely and hygienicallyAssist with inventory management and ordering of suppliesSkills:As a Cook at Pine Creek Manor, you will utilize your culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations to prepare and cook meals to the highest standard.
