The Janitorial Project Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of a team of 50-75 cleaning and sanitation staff at the Metro Valley location to ensure that the facility maintains a clean, safe, and hygienic environment including light rail cleaning, floor maintenance, and surface sanitation in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role managing large teams (50+ employees), preferably in a facilities, janitorial, or transit environment.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a large, diverse team.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in a relevant field preferred.Flexibility with scheduling, including potential evening or overnight shifts.Directly manage a team of 50-75 cleaning and sanitation employees, including frontline staff and supervisors, ensuring accountability, performance, and morale across all shifts.Develop and implement cleaning and sanitation procedures for the Metro Valley account, including light rail cleaning, mopping, wiping down chairs, tables, and all surface areas.Train and supervise cleaning and sanitation staff to ensure that they follow established procedures and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements - leading by example on the floor.Develop and maintain cleaning and sanitation schedules for the Metro Valley facility, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.Coordinate with other departments to ensure that cleaning and sanitation activities do not disrupt operations at the facility.Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address cleaning and sanitation issues, and ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly.Maintain accurate records of cleaning and sanitation activities, including inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed.Report directly to and communicate project updates, staffing issues, and quality concerns to the hiring manager.
