The Technician will be responsible for inspecting, installing, and servicing kitchen fire suppression systems (hoods) from various manufactures. The Technician will be responsible for performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs and maintain complete and detailed inspection and repair documentation on all work performed. A desired candidate is reliable, thorough, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.ResponsibilitiesRead and understand assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work for inspections and determine if additional information is neededExhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with internal and external customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction experienceTroubleshoot several different fire suppressions systemsFollow troubleshooting guidelines and refer to technical/ parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose and repair equipment or systemsPartner with sales to grow and protect the service segment of our businessMaintain accurate truck inventory to ensure timely response to customers’ needsReview and explain all work performed to customersStay current with code requirements and industry changesAttend and complete all required safety trainingRequirementsPerform additional duties as requiredAbility to travel to multiple job sites each dayKnowledge of NFPA code and non-conformance issuesAbility to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiples times a dayDecent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently, with little supervisionKnowledge of fire systems and toolsOrganized, systematic and adherent to deadlinesValid Driver’s LicenseHigh School diploma/ GEDAbility to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekend to meet customer needsAble to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbsAble to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.Willing to cross train on other fire systems (example: alarm, sprinkler, etc.)PreferredTwo (2) years prior work experienceBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionPaid Time OffPaid Holidays401(k) matching
