By applying better practices in service design, product management, and technology, we enable the VA to increase the use, quality, and reliability of services and decrease the time Veterans spend waiting for outcomes.Primary Responsibilities:As a Release Train Engineer, you will facilitate an Agile Release Train supporting a large federal enterprise cloud platform, coordinating multiple agile teams to deliver value predictably within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. You will lead program-level ceremonies, manage cross-team dependencies, and help the train meet its scope, schedule, and quality commitments. Primary expectations of a Release Train Engineer include:Facilitating Program Increment (PI) planning and other program-level SAFe eventsCoordinating dependencies, risks, and impediments across multiple agile teamsDriving the Agile Release Train toward predictable delivery and PI objective attainmentMaintaining the program board and tracking and communicating delivery status to stakeholdersCoaching teams, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders on SAFe practicesSupporting continuous improvement of flow, cadence, and team health across the trainCoordinating with product management and program leadership to align prioritiesProactively identifying risks and implementing mitigations with program leadershipCommunicating effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholdersResponsible for hiring, performance management, timecard reviews, PTO management and team developmentBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's and 3+ years of experience; relevant experience may be substituted for educationExperience facilitating agile delivery across multiple teams in a SAFe environmentExperience with agile project management toolsMust be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust / suitability determinationPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience with the Department of Veterans AffairsSAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program Consultant certificationExperience coordinating large, multi-team technology programsTo learn more about working at Ad Hoc, please visit:https://adhocteam.us/joinBenefits:Company-subsidized health, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible PTO401K with employer matchPaid parental leave after one year of serviceEmployee Assistance ProgramAd Hoc LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role is $120,000-$135,000.
