Security Guard

Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing - Full time$19-$21/HRPosition Summary The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, visitors, and vendors within the nursing home facility. This position monitors building access, patrols the property, responds to emergencies, and assists with enforcing facility safety policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor entrances and exits to ensure authorized access to the facilityGreet and assist visitors, vendors, and emergency personnelPatrol the interior and exterior of the building on a scheduled basisMonitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and security systemsRespond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, accidents, or suspicious activityAssist with resident elopement prevention and missing resident proceduresComplete incident reports and document security-related events accuratelyEnsure fire exits, doors, and safety equipment remain accessible and operationalAssist during fire drills, evacuations, and emergency preparedness proceduresMaintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, or unsafe behaviorEnforce facility policies regarding visitor access, smoking, parking, and safetyCoordinate with local law enforcement, EMS, and fire departments when necessaryAssist staff with non-clinical safety concerns as requestedMaintain confidentiality of resident and facility information in accordance with HIPAA regulationsQualifications High school diploma or GED preferredPrevious security, law enforcement, military, or healthcare experience preferredStrong communication and observation skillsAbility to remain calm and professional during emergenciesBasic computer and report-writing skillsAbility to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periodsMust pass background check and meet facility hiring requirementsPhysical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periodsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to respond quickly in emergency situationsAbility to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditionsSchedule Full-time 12:30am-7amMay include holidays overnight, and rotating shiftsBenefits (Optional Section) Health InsurancePaid Time OffRetirement PlanTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramShift DifferentialsEqual Opportunity Employer Statement [Facility Name] is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for all employees.
