Strategy and roadmapDefine and own the enterprise architecture vision, target-state architecture, and multi-year technology roadmap aligned to business strategyLead cloud strategy and adoption (multi-cloud or hybrid), including migration and modernization of legacy platformsSet the direction for the enterprise data platform: lakehouse/warehouse, data mesh or fabric, real-time streaming, AI/ML enablementGovernance and standardsEstablish architecture principles, reference architectures, and design standardsChair the Architecture Review Board; make and defend build/buy/partner decisionsEnsure security, resilience, compliance, and regulatory requirements are built into designs (zero trust, data privacy, DR) Manage technical debt and rationalize the application and vendor portfolioExecutive scope: It advises the CIO/CTO and sometimes the board, and presents investment cases to C-level.
