Job Title: Civil EngineerJob DescriptionJoin a dynamic and growing team as a Civil Engineer. We are seeking a motivated individual with a degree in civil engineering and 3-5 years of experience to contribute to exciting projects in various counties. This role offers the chance to work on grading, erosion/sediment control plans, water/sewer and storm drain design, and develop commercial and industrial site plans for residential subdivisions, K-12 institutions, and developments such as strip malls. The position involves client interaction for design review and permit processing.Responsibilities+ Develop grading, erosion/sediment control plans, and water/sewer and storm drain designs.+ Create commercial and industrial site plans for residential subdivisions and K-12 institutions.+ Engage with clients for design review processes.+ Work on permit processing for various projects.+ Collaborate with a small, dynamic team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Essential Skills+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.+ 3-5 years of experience in land development or storm water management design.+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.+ Experience in grading and permitting processes.+ Strong understanding of stormwater management.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ EIT certification is heavily preferred.+ Experience in permitting processes within the surrounding counties is a plus.+ Professional Engineer license is advantageous.Work EnvironmentThis is a fully on-site opportunity located in Ellicott City, with potential for hybrid flexibility after demonstrating competency in responsibilities. The work schedule is from 8 AM to 5 PM, including a one-hour lunch break. You will be part of a collaborative team of 20-25 professionals, offering room for growth and individualized mentorship. The firm has a strong backlog of projects and is expanding into surrounding counties and West Virginia.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellicott City, MD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
