System Engineer with VB Scripting

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced System Engineer with VB Scripting expertise to join our team in St. Louis, MO. This hybrid role involves providing advanced technical support for desktop environments, developing scripts, and managing lab operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop tools, mobility solutions, and security software. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Deliver expert-level support for a branch lab, including managing physical and virtual machines, and overseeing a network switch. Troubleshoot and resolve desktop-related issues efficiently, ensuring optimal performance. Scripting and Development: Develop and modify VB Scripts or use VB .NET to convert and optimize existing scripts. Automate and streamline desktop management tasks using scripting techniques to enhance efficiency. Desktop Tools and Security Management: Work with and manage desktop tools such as Aternity and Blue Triangle to monitor system performance and maintain security. Implement and manage mobility solutions using Microsoft products like Intune to support secure device management. Consultation and Collaboration: Engage in complex, large-scale technology initiatives, providing in-depth analysis and solutions for business systems. Collaborate with internal teams and client personnel, ensuring alignment with project goals and compliance requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Data, Business Systems Design, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, or education. Strong proficiency in VB Scripting or VB .NET, with the ability to develop and convert scripts effectively. In-depth knowledge of desktop management tools and security software (e.g., Aternity, Blue Triangle). Mobility Solutions: Hands-on experience with Microsoft mobility solutions, including Intune. Ability to configure, manage, and support mobile and desktop devices securely and efficiently. Problem-Solving and Consultation: Strong analytical skills to address multi-faceted business systems challenges, with a focus on long-term planning and resolution strategies. Experience consulting on technology initiatives, providing insights, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve project goals. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of network infrastructure and management of lab environments. Experience with virtualization and managing both physical and virtual systems. Military experience or training in a related technical field is a plus. Working Conditions: Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite at the St. Louis, MO office and 2 days remote work per week. Collaborative work environment, working closely with internal and client teams to meet technical objectives.
