Locum - Physician - Hospitalist - OB Rowlett, TX Are you a dedicated Obstetrician-Gynecologist seeking a flexible opportunity to make a meaningful impact on women's health while enjoying a dynamic work environment? Join Pediatrix Medical Group in partnership with Baylor Scott & White Lakepoint Medical Center as an OB/GYN Hospitalist and be part of a team committed to excellence in patient care. This role offers the chance to work in a vibrant community, providing comprehensive inpatient obstetric services in a supportive setting. Overview: This locum tenens position is vital to ensuring high-quality maternal and fetal care in the suburban Dallas area. You will be responsible for OB triage, admissions, deliveries, inpatient care, emergency response, and surgical assistance during cesarean sections. Collaborate with in-house neonatologists, NNPs, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and anesthesiology staff in a modern Level III NICU, managing approximately 1,700 deliveries annually. Enjoy working 24-hour in-house shifts, with the flexibility to influence your schedule and work on your terms, while contributing significantly to women's health services in the community. Required Skills: Medical degree (MD or DO) accredited in the United States Board Certification or Eligibility in OB/GYN Valid medical license for Texas or eligibility to obtain one Experience in inpatient obstetrics, including deliveries and emergency obstetric care Proficiency in fetal monitoring and obstetric emergency response Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, team-oriented environments Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience as a hospitalist OB/GYN Experience with high-risk pregnancies or maternal-fetal medicine Neonatal resuscitation and advanced life support certifications Bilingual skills to serve diverse populations Preferred Education and Experience: Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology Minimum of 1-2 years of inpatient obstetric experience in a hospital setting Past experience working within high-volume delivery centers preferred Other Requirements: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Texas medical license Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NRP preferred Ability to work 24-hour in-house shifts, including holidays and weekends Reliable transportation and ability to travel if required for locum assignments This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team providing top-tier obstetric care in a supportive environment.
